After years of creating your model railroading empire, learn how to protect your investment and make provisions to help your family repurpose it after you’re gone. Sharing information developed with an insurance industry friend, Chuck will review risk and homeowner insurance and using NMRA insurance for his collection and layout. The estate planning ideas Chuck will discuss come after helping several families remove the layout and dispose of the railroad items.

About the Presenter

Chuck started with a Lionel train set he received from his dad. It expanded each year until third-grade, when he met the late Bruce Nelson, who became his lifelong train buddy. He modeled in HO and Chuck couldn’t get over how real Bruce’s trains looked compared to his Lionel layout so he sold it and made the move to HO. That same year with no Lionel to give me for Christmas, his mother gave Chuck the book “Short Line to Paradise” about the Yosemite Valley Railroad which fueled his love of California Logging. In 1992 Chuck changed wives and scales, to On3, both of which have worked out very well. goes here
